San Diego is my favorite place and beaches are my go-to destination during the weekend. San Diego has over 70 miles of coastline. Here are my favorite list of beaches in San Diego.
Torrey Pines State Beach:
Torrey Pines State Beach is located between Del Mar and La Jolla. This Torrey Pines States Beach has lifeguards, restrooms, showers, and is popular with families. You can go for swimming, surfing, fishing, sunbathing, and general beachgoing activities. It is one of our top favorite cliff beaches in San Diego.

Parking fees – $15. Cars and bikes can be parked outside through the street for free.
La Jolla Shores Beach:
La Jolla Shores Beach is one of the famous beaches in San Diego. We often visit this mile-long beach in Summer. It is a perfect beach for kids and adults. Parking is available.

La Jolla Cove:
La Jolla Cove is also a famous spot in San Diego. This is must visit place to see Sea Lions. Parking is available through the street. It gets crowded over the weekend and is my favorite spot for the sunset.

Windansea Beach:
Windansea Beach is a shortened version of “Wind-and-Sea” and comes from a hotel at this spot named Windansea that burned down in the 1940’s. This is a picturesque beach. Don’t forget to take your camera!!!

Coronado Beach:
Coronado Beach is located in the City of Coronado. This is a wide sandy beach, approximately 1.75 miles long. It is bordered on either edge by the United States Naval Base beaches.
